Covid Update

J M Services GB Ltd is committed to ensuring the safety of its employees, customers, members of the public and anyone else who is affected by our activities. This statement is additional to the company Health and Safety Policy Statement.

This Coronavirus policy statement applies to all of our employees who physically work in our office(s) and those working remotely to ensure we collectively and uniformly respond to this challenge.

The spread of Coronavirus has been rapid and unpredictable. The new virus is now officially known as Covid-19. It is important that we all respond responsibly and transparently to the health precautions provided by Public Health England and official Covid-19 guidance provided by the British Government. It is up to individuals to ensure that they are following the most up to date guidance from Public Health England which can be obtained on a daily basis through TV media outlets and from https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

 

By providing this statement, the company will be demonstrating a commitment to operate in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work (etc) Act 1974, The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations, all other current applicable regulations and codes of practice in addition to Covid-19 guidance provided by Public Health England and the British Government so far as is reasonably practicable.  

The management will ensure that Covid-19 significant risks are assessed and suitable and sufficient measures are adopted to allow each employee to carry out his/her duties at the workplace or when working remotely at home, in a safe manner and without risk to health. A Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Toolbox Talk will be communicated to all employees. Suitable & maintained equipment will be provided in a safe condition with safe systems of work devised accordingly.

All employees have the opportunity to consult with the management or HR on matters relating to Covid-19 as it may affect their work.

Ultimate responsibility in all areas of employee safety rests with the Managing Director. This duty is of no less importance than any of the responsibilities attached to that position.
